One of a great little series of fictional biographies - 'Tales from the Pitch', this series of books about the lives of current star players is readable, fun and up to date, telling the story of the player's journey from school playground to stadium superstar!
Author Harry Coninx's addition of imaginative details and conversations to factual information makes these even more enjoyable (the books do come with a warning that some events may not be entirely accurate!).
Sure to interest many a reluctant reader with friendly layout and an accessible level of content, these are easy to read, engaging and fun texts, and I loved the detail about date and location of events/matches at the start of each chapter.
